Joan Edwards

Crewe Amateur Musical Society member hits the magnificent 100!!!!

A member of Crewe Amateur Musicals Society (CAMS) has just taken part in her 100th consecutive Musical theatre production.

Joan Edwards first became interested in operatics when her teacher first asked for volunteers to sell programmes at the Lyceum Theatre, Crewe for ‘The Old Studs’ as the society was formally known.  Having got the bug from this, she finally joined the society’s chorus for its production of White Horse Inn.  Seven years later she joined Acton A.O.S for its production of the same show, and she has never looked back!

Between the two societies Joan has taken part in 100 consecutive shows, a feat in it’s own right, but in addition to this outstanding achievement , Joan has also managed to be wardrobe mistress for 54 of these.
