The costumes were absolutely wonderful, extravagant, authentic and colourful. The hats and dresses were a show in themselves! Well done to the team who put them together. The members of the audience were clearly enjoying themselves, too – with laughter and gasps in all the right places (when Lord Arthur drank Auntie Clem’s drink!), this created a brilliant atmosphere and took us along for the ride. The smothering scene, and the umbrella scene in particular, were enjoyed by the audience. Overall, it was a brilliant evening. Well done to Colne Dramatic Society for another brilliant play under your belt, and I can’t wait to be back in July for the next one.
