ACT Theatre Reviews 2021-2022

David Lambert in the lead proved toi be a clear crowd pleaser. There could not be an evening of this type of music without including the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, Tina Turner. Lilly Smith and Katy Thomason-Stewart together with the ensemble paid homage with their electric versions of “(Simply) The Best” and “Proud Mary” from “Tina – The Musical”. Recently opened in the West End is the show of the film “Moulin Rouge”. From this show Bradley Snelling, with the captivating Charlotte Jinks, beautifully delivered “Come What May”. Charlotte was also coupled with Steve Sheppard and singing from the same show, they completely nailed the “Elephant Love Medley”. The songs that we all know just kept coming: everybody was at the top of their game. I must mention Leila Vigerstaff for her emotional interpretation of “The Winner Takes It All” from “Mamma Mia”. The musicals did go pop, and the members of the audience did go wow as they stood and cheered.
